It all began in the mid 70s, when Brian Cheesman, a true fruit & veg man, formed the business. He would travel to New Covent Garden to collect the best produce from around the UK and the continent, delivering it across the South East to a growing, loyal customer base. Brian’s wife and two brothers, over the years, set the foundations of a true family business.
That legacy has thrived ever more under current MD Martin, who now runs the business, alongside sister Claire and brother Matthew, having been involved for more than 30 years.

Martin Cheesman

Cheesman’s man and boy. Martin leads the team with a huge amount of experience in business and a passion for all customer relationships.

Keeping all money matters on track, Claire has the busy task of balancing the books and counting the beans…

Matthew Hennem
Sales Director
Matthew leads our sales efforts and processes, working with existing and new clients to ensure they get the quality food they need, at the right price.

Dave Bullock
Director
A man for all seasons, Dave keeps Cheesman ticking over with his boundless energy and vast knowledge.
We wanted to sing his praises but he wouldnt lettuce, so lets just say, he’s certainly got his finger on the pulses.
Dan Pateman
Purchasing Director
Dan’s responsible for buying the best produce and making sure it doesn’t cost us, or our customers, an arm and a leek.
He visits New Covent Garden Market nightly to pick the best and squash the competition!
